Reliable product. It configures with Square register and Ipad stand. I already had a pair with my original POS square system. When I went to get another for my other store location I got the same product as it worked well and pairs well with square. If it works don’t fix it, so I got the same again.
Also, if the printer has not been directly tested by your team and you cannot confirm either way, can you tell me does the Square POS ever work with any printers outside of that list? i.e. Does it conform to some set of standards that might permit “generic” printing capability?
@Kpay I have both a TM-88III and a TM-88IV with USB and both show unsupported device when I plug them in, are these going to be supported for Square Registers? I have made sure their USB ports are initialized.
Works great – but I didn’t know if you download the app you can get a free reader!!! Ugh. It’s okay I guess because this wasn’t super expensive and now I have another on hand and another sticker saying I can accept credit card payments 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Kitchen printers allow you to print a copy of the order in the kitchen. Impact printers only print order tickets for a kitchen. They’re not affected by heat and can withstand warm environments. They require heat-sensitive paper and won’t work with non-thermal, receipt printer paper.
I was wondering if I can keep the phones connected to the printer or if I have to disconnect after printing each receipt.I thought that keeping the connection was preventing to print from more than one device at the same time.
Our intelligent ePOS technology can control TM printers directly via web browsers or natively on many smart devices. I bought this printer to work with Square Apps.on the I phone and I pad. On the I phone the square app. doesn’t have a place to add the printer. It does on the I pad and works great right out of the box. You can use 2 1/4 X 42″ thermal paper, the same size I use with my Verifone 8020, just google it When pairing with I pad the code number is 1234 as most. Doesn’t come with info, but I found the manual on posworld.com that you can download. At first tried to buy from posworld.com, ordered and waited for 3 weeks and to this day haven’t heard from them yet. Had to file a depute with DiscoverCard. Forgot about Amazon. Ordered on Monday, got it Wednesday. It will print cash or charge receipts, quickly. Now I don’t have to try typing email or text receipts. Just takes to long.

There is no need to use the square stand while you are out at a fair if you don’t have power. Any $10-$20 iPad stand will hold your iPad just fine and then you can plug in the Square for headphone jack swiping into the iPad swiping and use the contactless reader with that also. Depending on how much you use the iPad and how long you set the screen timeout to you may be able to get thru the day on a single charge. And if you are only charging the iPad that is easy to buy an external battery for like $20 that will charge it a couple times.
The TSP650IIcloudPRNT thermal printer retrieves and prints orders from any online ordering service integrating Star’s communication protocol. The online ordering service will be able to communicate directly to the printer, eliminating the need for an extra tablet to send orders to the printer.
Is anyone else having issues with the receipt printer not working? It was working great and it stopped to work. The printer is currently turned on and when I go to settings/printers it says no printers selected and I cannot select the Star TSP printer. It is no longer showing up and saying No Printer (Station Disabled). Any ideas?
The printer supports ESC/POS mode, and is able to do 1D or 2D barcode printing, which can be widely used in various occasions like on taxi, restaurant, store for receipt, bill, and any other types of information printing.
The Mobile Power Supply allows users to put the TSP650 into vehicle applications like printing law enforcement tickets, truck tickets, and more. It converts 12VDC into the required 24VDC to power the printer.

Ultimately your choice hinges on what other devices you might be using your printer with and your budget, but you do have several options in terms of how the thing actually prints receipts. Like a normal printer, you get a few choices in this area – most receipt printers either use thermal printing, impact printing, or inkjet printing and each of these offers certain attributes.

A table layout would go along way, not only because it’s easier for us to parse and decide, but also because it forces your own support staff to think about what they are putting into it, rather than pasting a title and a link, they need to determine the features and enter them into the right boxes.
