Connect your PayPal Here POS equipment to a cash register to make change for customers and store cash. When you set up a cash drawer with PayPal, it will automatically open for every cash transaction or when issuing a cash refund. PayPal Here POS hardware for iPad and iPhone work with cash drawers that connect to the Star TSP 143L or Star TSP 654L receipt printer and are equipped with the MultiPro 320 24 Volt interface connection. Examples include the APG Vasario 1313 and APG Vasario 1616.
Atm it’s cheaper for me to use something else other than square, than to change the printer tablet setup. It appears other people have similar issues. Square managment need to grasp the economics here of only catering to a small hardware segment(Star printers) of the market, while marketing themselves as a simple DIY eftpos POS for small businesses, who burn themselves on compatability issues. Hopefully Square can solve this issue.
This is the printer to get if you are using UBER Eats and Grubhub for your restaurant. Easy to set up on the network and was recognized by both the Grubhub and UBER Eats tablets for printing the order slips. Good image quality and prints quickly. Keep in mind this printer uses thermal paper not bond paper like a a kitchen printer so you’ll need to keep the slips away from heat.
My sales person told me two weeks ago that my Epson TM-T88V printer was supported, no problem. Now, I am trying to set all of my hardware up to switch over to Square POS and I find out that it isn’t supported. I was already skeptical about switching over and now I am seriously concerned if I made the right decision.
Inexpensive dedicated photo printers range in size from small enough to fit in a pocket to too large to carry very often. If you want to bring a printer with you to events like parties or Little League games, pick a size you won’t mind carrying. Also consider whether you’ll need to run it from batteries. If so, make sure there’s a battery available, if only as an option, and find out how many photos you can print on a full charge.

Before you can print your first picture, you’ll need to install the app on an iOS or Android device. I did my testing with a Google Pixel 2 XL. This printer uses a WiFi connection instead of Bluetooth, so you will have set up the WiFi connection including the password.
I’ve been trying to set up a POS for when I set up at shows to take credit card payments using Paypal Here. I’ve been piecemealing a system together on the (relatively) cheap compared to the big money Paypal wants for a system. I have a Samsung Tab A Android tablet, the paypal here chip reader and I’ve been stuck on the printer. I tried a cheaper $56 bluetooth printer other people have got to work with paypal, but for the life of me I couldn’t get it to change the bluetooth name and NO ONE was willing to post good instructions. I bought this one for $119 which is 1/2 the price of the Star printers. As usual for these imported items the instructions on the included CD are hard to follow. I did get this to print from paypal here. Since no one was willing to post step-by-step instructions under those other printers, I’ll post below what I did to get it paired and working with my android tablet. Your mileage may vary, but this is what worked for me.
We purchased this printer because of its network capability. In our office we have a POS laptop, that gets used at multiple desks. With the network feature, as long as the laptop is logged in to wifi, this printer works flawlessly. We did have a little issue getting it configured properly, but that was before I contacted the company. I simply visited their website, requested help, and within 30 minutes the printer worked perfectly… So while the printer is great, the service was phenomenal…

If you want a great little device that you can just put in your pocket and is compatible with Android devices, this one is a great option to look into. In addition to being able to connect via Bluetooth, you can also use it with USB connections for even more functionality – but be warned that it doesn’t work with iOS devices and it’s unclear if it’ll work with a Mac either.

Unless we are to just assume that all of these printers support printing over USB and that interface (when available for a listed model) is always compatible with Square POS — but, it doesn’t say either way?
Check the running cost and total cost of ownership if you can. Unfortunately, this may be impossible for near-dedicated photo printers, since there’s currently no widely accepted standard for calculating cost per photo. For dedicated photo printers, however, the cost per photo is typically easy to calculate, because most manufacturers sell print packs with enough ink and paper for a given number of photos.

So in the scheme of “would we buy these printers?” it comes down to would we buy these instead of other Epson printers? I would probably recommend the T20II the most out of all the printers, I think for the price and features and warranty, the T20II is your best bet. If you are worried about space though, take a look at the M series, especially the M10, it’s very very small compared to older receipt printers. The styling on both of these are better than the T20II. If you’re looking for just pure performance, pure reliability, pure speed, the T88V is still your best bet. So that’s kind of the Epson overview of all their printers. Good printers, probably at this time not their best printers, but they are space saving options, and there are some unique pairing capabilities, so if you’re on a tablet or something like that and you don’t have a USB port, then take a look and see if a proper interface is available for you. To purchase these printers, or for more information, please visit us at POSGuys.com. Thanks!

With most printer categories, you should consider whether you really need color. Photo printers turn the question on its head, so you should consider whether you need black and white, which many printers can’t handle well. The most common flaw is a tint, or different color tints for different shades of gray. If you print black and white photos, you’ll need to check out black and white photo quality apart from the printer’s color photo quality. This is more often a problem for dedicated, rather than near-dedicated, photo printers, but you need to consider it in either case. (In our reviews, we note such tints and their severity when we encounter them, but we don’t use monochrome images to test small-format printers.)
Nice little portable printer. It isn’t as slow as some of the reviewers mentioned, and we use it with Square, so it will print a custom photo-based logo right onto the receipt. One reviewer said you had to pay extra to remove the Star logo – this was not my experience, however. We bought the neck strap, and a padded camera-type case to carry the printer, power supply, extra battery, Square card readers.
Nice dot matrix receipt printer for use in a commercial kitchen to print out orders. It’s a larger printer compared to the thermal printers and it’s quite loud. Not a bad thing in a kitchen as the chef will hear the printer when a new ticket is up. It does by the way have a buzzer jack so when a ticket is printed the buzzer goes off as well. Easy to set up even without instructions that were not included in the box, nor was the power cord. I think I received a used or returned unit so hopefully instructions and a power cord should be included. Star has a very good website with all documentation online. I believe this printer will work well in the kitchen environment. Be sure to stock up on ribbons & paper. Also, be careful who this or any other product for that matter is sold by. If it’s not sold by Amazon.com there most likely will be a different return policy than the easy & liberal Amazon.com return policy. This is why I did not return the item since the seller I purchased from (Antonline) had such a restrictive and arrogant return policy, I thought I’d be in for a fight. Since it worked & I had a power cord I just kept it, it wasn’t work the potential aggravation.
