You guys should really edit your titles, as the Square Stand does have an iPad component and so “Supported Hardware for iPads” would really appear to be applicable to me, although I understand now that it isn’t but that’s unecessarily confusing and easy to correct. All of that aside though, there are still obvious issues with that document (as noted above) and I recommend that you guys review it. I really think it needs a rewrite to be more definitive.
I have been using this printer for a few months and my computer had a few updates and then the printer stop working so I contacted the company’s customer service support through the website (EOM-POS) and Mark help me through the whole process, we were online, connected trying to fix it for about 2 hours, he never gave up and FIXED IT! he tried everything, I even re-started the computer and was able to connect with him until he fixed the issue. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWESOME.
To print on large-size paper with some near-dedicated photo printers, you have to feed a single sheet from the front, after which the printer loads it by feeding it all the way out of a back slot on the printer, and then prints while moving the paper forward again. If you don’t have enough free flat space for this approach to printing, look for a printer that can handle roll paper, can feed large-size cut sheets from a standard tray, or both.
We also know that personalization is in the details, so we offer many different bluetooth receipt printer Use like Thermal Printer , Receipt Printer , Document Printer , Barcode Printer , Photo Printer , Other , Label Maker , Stylus Printer , Dye Sublimation Printer , Line Printer, and others.
LOVE IT! Got it for my store, “The Curious Cauldron” (shameless plug) Just wish I ordered more of the correct printer paper.. I ordered one that said it was thermal paper and it was NOT.. so now I am stuck with 10 rolls of regular register paper.. ;-(
Also, it seems receipts are either just electronic or traditional. I think it’d be useful for there to be an option before the card is charged. Some people do not need a printed receipt and it can be a waste of paper! So after hitting charge, Square asks “Electronic or Paper” and then either prints a paper receipt or carries through with the regular electronic process.
Is anyone using an external power source? I used to have a portable unit to jump start my car, and it had an outlet to plug things in. I’m thinking about picking up one of those, but wanted to see what’s working for other people.

Finally, two other issues fall loosely under the heading of quality: ruggedness and lifetime. Don’t expect much in the way of ruggedness for fine art papers for exhibition, but you do need it for stacks of 4-by-6s that you might hand out for people to look through. Photos from most printers today are reasonably waterproof and scratch resistant, but some fare better than others.
The Star thermal receipt printer uses futurePRNT software to dramatically reduce the amount of receipt paper you use. You can trim receipts vertically or horizontally without interfering with your original software setup. The partial cut auto cutter of this POS receipt printer achieves a 3mm top margin, thus saving 8mm of paper with each receipt. On-demand receipt printing feature gives you the option of not printing a receipt if the customer declines one. (Regional laws vary.)
I have two businesses and both of them use these T20s, they are super fast printers. No more dealing with off-brand junk. This printer is the real deal and the auto cut works every time. I would purchase again for sure.
For ISVs, this is the easiest and fastest way to integrate a printer with Apple software. Now with the TSP654II developers have another option available, in addition to the StarPRNT SDK, giving them more flexible printer control. Star Micronics’ TSP650II AirPrint will soon be on Apple’s AirPrint certified devices list.
Unless we are to just assume that all of these printers support printing over USB and that interface (when available for a listed model) is always compatible with Square POS — but, it doesn’t say either way?
I work as the PC tech at a ski resort with a restaurant upstairs. We recently updated all of our systems, and I replaced the kitchen printer. Since we had all Star receipt printers (work great), I figured I would get the Star kitchen printer over the Epson. The set up was very easy and painless, but the problems we had afterwards were intolerable. The printer would frequently disconnect from our network, making it so sometimes the hostess would place an order, and nothing would print back to the kitchen. As you can imagine, this resulted in food not being prepared when it should have, angry customers, and stressed out employees.

POSMaid is wonderful for a small business or Craft Show use. It is affordable and very functional. Allows for all monetary transactions and keeps tally. It is perfect for Entry level use. The inventory control is more than I expected.

As we mentioned, Square does not support Bluetooth devices with Android. However, as long as your Android device is compatible with the Bluetooth scanner, any Bluetooth scanner should work with Square. Again, these devices are limited to only searching for products by product name or numeric SKU, and do not automatically add products to the order. If you’re looking for a Bluetooth barcode scanner to use with Square for Android instead of the official scanners, we recommend:
This item EOM-POS Thermal Receipt Printer- USB, Ethernet, Serial Ports- Auto Cut – Cash Drawer Port (RJ11/RJ12)- Paper Width 3 1/8″ (80mm) – NOT COMPATIBLE with Mac, Square, Shopkeep, Clover, Shopify, or Paypal
I’m not sure why there are so many mixed up reviews and answers to the questions. I have two iPad without a square stand. This easily connected to my cash drawer and WiFi router. BOTH iPads are connected to the receipt printer and BOTH can print at the same time as well as open up my cash drawer. The receipt are thick enough to read and make orders off of and the font size is nice. If you take orders with your iPad but do not have a square stand and need a printer that will connect to multiply iPads this is what you are looking for!!
I suggest that Square makes available some advice or a list of cheaper Bluetooth printers that customers could consider. Also, please make the printing of receipts from the Square customer web site easier.
So in the scheme of “would we buy these printers?” it comes down to would we buy these instead of other Epson printers? I would probably recommend the T20II the most out of all the printers, I think for the price and features and warranty, the T20II is your best bet. If you are worried about space though, take a look at the M series, especially the M10, it’s very very small compared to older receipt printers. The styling on both of these are better than the T20II. If you’re looking for just pure performance, pure reliability, pure speed, the T88V is still your best bet. So that’s kind of the Epson overview of all their printers. Good printers, probably at this time not their best printers, but they are space saving options, and there are some unique pairing capabilities, so if you’re on a tablet or something like that and you don’t have a USB port, then take a look and see if a proper interface is available for you. To purchase these printers, or for more information, please visit us at POSGuys.com. Thanks!
