Same problem as above. False advertising. Bought it and cannot use it with Apple products. I received no apology or assistance to exchange it. I then had to pay to return the product- I hope I get a full refund. They told me the description was incorrect and would be changed but I see here it is still the same.

You can’t beat the TM-T88 series of printers. The serial version work great to swap out older nonfunctional models on our Aloha POS that need to be sent off for re-manufacturing (never throw one of these away, they can be rebuilt for $80-$100). Love the modular connection cards, if you need eithernet connection down the road just replace the card in the bottom. Make sure you set the dipswitches correctly to work with whatever POS system you are using. They are located in the bottom of the unit under the small silver panel secured with a phillips head screw.

I bought this because the product description says its IOS Bluetooth compatible. IT IS NOT. This version is connected via wires. If you are looking for the blue tooth version you need the TSP654IIBTi.
This should be set to Auto. However it appears this doesn’t always work. So you can manually change it to Built In USB by pressing feed 2 times and then holding down the feed button for a couple of seconds.
This printer comes with a disk. If you are using it with an Ipad, the disk is useless. The only thing I am disappointed with at this point is that I can not print by business logo on my receipts. This is not a downfall of the printer but the program that I am using. This printer prints the business logo ‘”IF” you are using a Mac or Windows based POS system.

This was the printer recommended to us by OCLC, WorldShare Management Systems in 2012. As a library, we need a printer that is compatible with Java. The Epson TM-T88V receipt printer functions great…as long as Java is not updated. Whenever Java is updated, we have to have our IT department spend hours getting it to work for us once again. However, I believe this is not just an issue with Epson printers. I would challenge Epson to be the first to resolve the issue…then they will still be the receipt printer recommended to libraries throughout the world. Otherwise another company will take the forefront. Here’s what our worldwide library system has told us:

Hi this is Travis with POSGuys dot com today we’re reviewing the Epson TM-T22 Receipt Printer or the TM20 II Ready print receipt printer. This is their mid-level receipt printer, it’s their cheaper thermal receipt printer, the best thermal printer they have is the TM-T88V. This is a step below speed wise and warranty wise but it’s still a great all around receipt printer for most retail set-ups.

Spent over an hour with the manufacturers help line but could not get to work with the UPS software. The issue was the barcode lines were not smooth enough to be read by a barcode scanner. Finally rented a unit from UPS by the month. Going to still try this unit for USPS shipping labels. Will say the person on the help line made a valiant effort trying to fix the issue though.
