The earlier type of Epson Connect-It Interface used a manual configuration scheme and a simple web interface. The Type II module can be identified by the red or blue 8 position DIP switch visible on the front of the adapter
Thermal printers offer quiet and fast printing, ideal for retail or restaurant printing. For humid, high temperature environments, such as a kitchen or dry cleaners, we recommend getting an impact receipt printer, as their printouts are more resistant to the elements.
If you operate a mobile food cart or food truck, THIS is the receipt printer you want. In all Honesty, it took me more time to read through the manual than it did to connect to my Ipad. For the record, I am using this receipt printer with Square Register.
saved me a lot of money to replace my old setup. It was easy to install and everything was compatible. No problems at all setting it up. As other viewers said the bill slots are thinner than usual and the drawer has a lot of power/

You can add your logo and text to your receipt. This is done with software that is included with the receipt printer. By adding your logo to your receipts you have a place to advertise your business. You can also put your phone number on your receipt or your website URL. This is a good thing to do if you’re selling at a craft show, fair, farmers market and etc. The customer may not remember your name and may not go online to search for your website. But if you put your website on the receipt you have a better chance of the customers visiting your website to make a purchase.

Highest marks on the TSP100III because of the multi-platform adoption and performance. This printer works with Windows, does Star and Epson emulations (set in driver), but the ethernet version is the most commonly used printer with iOS point of sale applications (Star, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch). Along with it’s 10+ ips print speed it is a great overall printer that will fit most point of sale printing needs.

Worked right out of the box. No hassle. I purchased this one and another Esky model that was a real lemon. Accidentally sent one of several messages meant to address the Esky unit problem to the POS Megastore for this Epson. POS were quick to tell me their 30 day policy was up and to talk to the hand. No 60 day, no 90 day, 30. Beware– if you have any issues, address them early because after 30 days these guys are done with you.

Though we are only able to guarantee that our supported printers will work with the Square register app, I definitely understand how that cost could be an issue. As the Square Register has the ability to print more than just receipts, such a kitchen tickets and order stubs, we are only able to support certain printers at this time.
We also know that personalization is in the details, so we offer many different bluetooth receipt printer Use like Receipt Printer , Thermal Printer , Miniprinter , Dye Sublimation Printer , Photo Printer , Barcode Printer , Document Printer , Other , Label Maker , Stylus Printer, and others.

UPDATE: August 14, 2016 – Still no issues with printing. There is a slight delay, about five seconds, between completing the transaction and printing the receipt. This could very well be an issue using Square Payment Systems, and not really the printer and the IPad that I’ve linked it to for Square sales. The printer does lose its Bluetooth connection when I move the IPad to the next room, which is expected, but it often does not “find” and then “pair” again without me going through the printer’s pairing process again. For that reason, I’m lowering my star rating from five to four. In the scheme of things, this is just a minor inconvenience and the printer quality more than makes up for any issues with pairing from time to time.
When you make changes and press ‘OK’ the utility sends the new settings to the printer and resets the printer. Note: the default password is

This is an impact printer. So it makes a noise when it prints. Why would you want this? You might want it if you are in an area such as a kitchen where thermal paper receipts don’t print as well because of moisture in the area. You would not want this noise around customers. But if you have a moist area such as a busy kitchen this printer may be what you can use. Here is the user manual for the Star Micronics SP742ML.

For printing in Windows printers using Epson emulation tend to be the most compatible. For printing with an iPad your app must support that printer by name, the most commonly supported printers are the Star TSP100 and Star TSP650.
The Type IV module (UB-E02, UB-E03, UB-E04 or similar) is the latest type of Connect-It Ethernet adapter. The module can be set by accessing it directly using a web browser or by a configuration utility. This type of module can also act as a device type Print server to be used by more than 1 computer.
Compatibility with applications and programs are dependent on the software and application developer. Typically, with windows programs, if you can specify a windows printer and the software uses the matching emulation, then a Bluetooth receipt printer will work just as well as a USB printer. For iOS and Android applications, it is a bit more complex and you will need to check with your app developer to determine app compatibility. In many apps rather than selecting an installed printer it will be looking for a specific Bluetooth device, if your printer is not that exact match then it will not recognize the printer as being available for that software.

POS printers often include display screens that allow customers to view items as employees scan or manually enter them for the transaction. This simple display helps purchasers verify pricing and review tax information at a glance, ensuring they receive the advertised prices.
We bought this thermal printer for work. It works well as described, but there are some programs that don’t use the printer, and setting up the printer is less than intuitive/easy for the average user. I had to go into advanced settings and follow advice on forums to get it to function the right way.
Nothing in the world couldn’t work out any better than this product. Prints super fast! FYI, don’t expect to have the POS/esc commands in the manual because it tells you that it’s not open to the public but not like google can’t fix that.
Tested, in great working order. Ready to use with Quickbooks and other POS Software systems. We cannot fix situations we are unaware of. We appreciate your patience and opportunity to correct a situat…
Option 1 (Ethernet II only): Using a web browser, type the default IP address (found on a label on the interface card) into the address field of your web browser. The configuration screen should appear. The default password for the interface is Epson. We highly recommend this be changed. Once the web interface is running, all application, network, printer and password settings can be modified.
