Reliable product. It configures with Square register and Ipad stand. I already had a pair with my original POS square system. When I went to get another for my other store location I got the same product as it worked well and pairs well with square. If it works don’t fix it, so I got the same again.

Got this so I could print receipts for my customers paying in person with a card, chip or smartphone. I use PayPal Now with an Android tablet and PayPal card reader. The printer was easy to set up and works very well. The only thing I have not been able to do is print my company logo at the top of the slip. However, the company name, address, phone number, and email prints. I think this is a function, and thus a problem of PayPal, not the printer. So I’m not blaming the printer at all. However, it would be nice to have my logo on the receipt and the ability to print a coupon or something too.

I was attemptiong to print dynamically created data from sqlite database. By the time I sent in my feedback, the printer was only printing once however, after abit of tinkering, I moved the closeBT() method to be executed just after the first receipt has been printed, and it is now working.

Hi, does this code supports multiple phones sending print requests to the same printer simultaneously? It’s not clear for me whether the connection should be closed right after printing so other phones can send data do the same printer, or if I can keep like 5 phones connected at the same time.

Bluetooth Nightmare. I shelled out a bunch of cash to be able to use the Bluetooth printer with my iPAD/Square Register system. Initially it was a pain in the neck to connect to and it would randomly drop the connection. After a couple months the printer stopped connecting. Very disappointed in this product. When you pay $400 plus for a printer you should expect it to work as it is stated. I would not recommend by this product. You will be embarrassed in front of your customer when the printer fails you. It could severely impact your reputation and business when your less experience techy people are trying to reconnect the printer and you will be sadly disappointed in a couple months when it finally fails to connect just like the other reviews stated.
Square is not interested in using anyone but Star. And their attitude is that they frankly don’t care. I know, I have emails from them about it. If I was to guess, I would bet they have a deal with Star that funds their (insert pizza parties, to silk pockets). But lets be realistic. I mean it has to be something viable, right? The fact that Star uses the same print protocals that Epson uses has no bearing on an Epson receipt printer not working. It goes in the same line as Android devices can’t use bluetooth devices… although that new chip reader is bluetooth. It is a lack of customer service and they need to step up to the plate, or someone is going to come along and take their business away from them.
I have a “Jump Start” power supply from Schumaker. It will not provide power for a full day show. I use the stand and the chip reader “Dock” and see as much as 19 watts power being pulled. Portable Power supplies are out there to do this job but, very pricy. Best to start with IPad and chip reader charged to 100% and plug into the power supply when it gets below 15-20%. You could let your Ipad “sleep” after 5/10 minutes but remember Square will have to reconnect each time.
This is the printer to get if you are using UBER Eats and Grubhub for your restaurant. Easy to set up on the network and was recognized by both the Grubhub and UBER Eats tablets for printing the order slips. Good image quality and prints quickly. Keep in mind this printer uses thermal paper not bond paper like a a kitchen printer so you’ll need to keep the slips away from heat.
We implemented the use of iPads running Square Register in our Deli and so far we’ve been extremely happy with the results. The printer works great when paired with the T320-BL1616 Cash Drawer, although we do find that occasionally when tendering a sale that the drawer doesn’t pop open however that may have to do with the network or Square software. The printer was easy to setup, plug & play. The iPad using Square Register recognized the printer immediately and was ready to use moments after setting up. The staff suggestions on my initial inquiry, as to printer and cash drawer, was the reason I chose Barcodesinc. to
This is Carrie from the Square team. A quick update – we had to temporarily roll back this feature as it introduced a bug we need to fix first. @TopJimmy sorry for the inconvenience! I will make sure to update the community here when we roll out again.

Epson needs no introduction, and this is a great receipt printer that costs quite a bit less than their other model on this list. With compatibility across devices and automatic receipt cutting, this one’s the way to go if you want a high-end thermal receipt printer for a bit less than most other devices in its class.
