@Kpay This is very concerning. We should be able to rely on that document for solid facts. It is titled “Supported Hardware” after all, not “Potentially Supported Hardware” or “Take your chances…”. The errors and ambiguity are especially problematic when purchasing from places that may not allow (or easily permit) returns. Also add to the fact that returns can be costly and time consuming for us.
Works perfectly with my PayPal account and my iPhone 6S smart phone. I use it almost every weekend and I have not had one issue with it at all. Runs off my phones blue tooth and prints receipts like a champ. Highly recommend

We actually have the Epson TM-T88IV with USB connectibity and I believe the IV model is the successor the V model which @TopJimmy has. It is in the same line, but prints faster and has two colour capability etc.
Also thanks for your suggestion regarding receipt options @thestationslo! At this time if your customer has entered their email address to receive a digital receipt the system only knows this after their card is charged.
Step 12: We will code an onClickListener for the “close” button so we can close the connection to Bluetooth printer and save battery. Put the following code after the onClickListener of the “Send” button, inside onCreate() method.
We first bought the Wifi model and couldn’t get the manufacturer or Square to figure out how to make the two communicate, even though it’s supposed to be supported. We were told to return that and switch to this blue tooth model. Now this one won’t communicate with Square either. It’s the only receipt printer that Square publishes it supports. We don’t have any odd setup, all brand new peripheral equipment, new iPad, Square stand/Register. Hours on support with both and no resolution to date.

Is anyone using an external power source? I used to have a portable unit to jump start my car, and it had an outlet to plug things in. I’m thinking about picking up one of those, but wanted to see what’s working for other people.
Nothing in the world couldn’t work out any better than this product. Prints super fast! FYI, don’t expect to have the POS/esc commands in the manual because it tells you that it’s not open to the public but not like google can’t fix that.

Hi, Travis from POSGuys.com. Today we’ll be reviewing the M series of printers from Epson. This is the TM-M30 and the TM-M10 receipt printers. They’re both thermal receipt printers, they’re similar form factor where they’re very square. This is the 3-inch version, this is the 2-inch version. By 3-inch version, this means this uses standard receipt printer of 3 inch width, and this uses a 2 inch, smaller receipt paper. They’re both top load or front load, this is set into front-load version, this is set in to top-load version. They print at a reasonable rate, this is an 8-inch per second, and this is a 6-inch per second. The 8-inch per second is the same as the current model TM-T20ii version, so it’s the same print speed, it’s just a much more compact form factor.
This is one of the more common thermal receipt printers used with Square Payments. It generally costs less than $200. It come in white and black color. It has an auto-cutter to slice thermal receipt paper for you. It uses thermal paper so you never never need to fill it with ink. It is generally easy to maintain and add paper when you need it. So this is a printer that works well in a wide variety of environments. However, if you are in a kitchen or some area where the air is moist you may want to get an impact printer as thermal receipt paper does not work well in moist environments where there is little ventilation. Here is the user manual for the Star Micronics SM-S230i.

Thanks to the Star “Keep Alive” feature, the TSP134LAN can negotiate with any networked host and automatically print an error if the connection is lost due to computer/hub failure or cable damage. It also sends an immediate warning to the remote location that the printer is offline. “Real Time Status” alerts let know you when the printer’s cover is open or when it runs out of paper.
