I have an Epson TM-T88V and I have read every thread I can find and it still says not supported. I watched the YouTube video linked in this thread and did exactly what it said and still the same not supported message. Then I was looking at the options on the print out from the video and Option 11 is USB class, it was not working so what did I have to lose, I changed that option from the default (Vendor Class) to Printer Class and now my printer works. I am not saying this will solve your problems, but it might.
I have two businesses and both of them use these T20s, they are super fast printers. No more dealing with off-brand junk. This printer is the real deal and the auto cut works every time. I would purchase again for sure.

If you’re looking for a way to accept mobile payments with your iPhone without having to actually swipe a credit card, then you’re in luck: There’s an app for that. Instead of forcing you to deal with clunky credit card readers and dongles, some credit card processing apps simply use the iPhone’s camera. This method can work in several ways, such as by capturing a photo of the credit card, scanning the credit card number or reading a quick-response (QR) code.
Thanks for your offer to look into this and the possibility of finding it in Canada. Now I’m thinking a Bluetooth printer wouldn’t be so bad. I assume I could get a second one at some point to work in our kitchen (no grease or anything like that). Wouldn’t mind help on finding out how much the printer is, cost to ship, etc. Would yo mind? Thanks. John

You don’t need to screw around with the extra settings, just turn on the cash drawer before/After print and be done. All of that coupon set up, barcode stuff on there is good but is best to use within your software development for better control but it too is useful. I use code 3-9 and scanner picks it right up for my transaction numbers. Now you do have programming options to setup the cutter and all of that but for those needing something fo there store on a quick, serve my customers base, this is by far the best and a heck of a lot cheaper that the t88 models by which I don’t see any difference by any means
I’ve escalated a request to our documentation team that includes your idea for a table listing out the printer options and whether they’re USB/Ethernet/Bluetooth/etc. New versions of printers do come out now and then, so it’s possible we have an incorrect link in our Support Center. The team will look into it though and make sure to get it updated. Appreciate your feedback and hopefully, your call to our Support Team will help you get everything sorted out.
You guys should really edit your titles, as the Square Stand does have an iPad component and so “Supported Hardware for iPads” would really appear to be applicable to me, although I understand now that it isn’t but that’s unecessarily confusing and easy to correct. All of that aside though, there are still obvious issues with that document (as noted above) and I recommend that you guys review it. I really think it needs a rewrite to be more definitive.
To use a kitchen printer with Square Stand you can connect the printer into the USB dongle on the Stand or you can use the Ethernet connection on the Wireless Router. Your choice of connection determines which printer you need to buy.
Our intelligent ePOS technology can control TM printers directly via web browsers or natively on many smart devices. A completely green design, the SereneLife portable printer comes with a cartridge that loads up enough paper and ink for about 10 prints. Just about enough of both to ensure that it prints the full number of prints as paper loaded into it and so that there is wastage. The whole cartridge gets changed after the ‘ink’ and the paper is exhausted. You don’t have to handle individual ink cartridges. So, there is no smudging or leakage in the fingers and so on.
Once you’ve bought your receipt printer, you need to set it up. Fortunately, this is pretty easy to do. You will need to follow some steps. Here are the steps that we’ve researched below. You’ll also want to look at your instruction manual that comes with your receipt printer.
Unless we are to just assume that all of these printers support printing over USB and that interface (when available for a listed model) is always compatible with Square POS — but, it doesn’t say either way?
Works perfectly! Much cheaper then other pos systems at twice the quality. Highly recommend this product. It is perfect for your small to medium size business. If you have a large business just buy two. You wont regret it.

As we mentioned, Square does not support Bluetooth devices with Android. However, as long as your Android device is compatible with the Bluetooth scanner, any Bluetooth scanner should work with Square. Again, these devices are limited to only searching for products by product name or numeric SKU, and do not automatically add products to the order. If you’re looking for a Bluetooth barcode scanner to use with Square for Android instead of the official scanners, we recommend:

I bought this printer to use with a Square stand – it is completely unreliable. After 3 days of use, the printer started powering on and off sporadically in the middle of use. All the wires are securely connected but it doesn’t power on if it does’t want to. I called StarMicronics directly about the issue and they basically said the USB printer gets its power from both the Square stand and the wall outlet (but mostly from the Square stand). In sort, if there is a power issue, it could be an issue with the printer’s connection with the Square stand…or it could be an issue with the hardware itself, but the only way to find out is to go through an inconvenient process to diagnose the issue.
