Hi @JoanneCFYF — thanks for bringing this up and sorry to hear about the frustration this is causing. It looks like another seller had the same question, and received an answer. Check out this thread by Kelly. Hope that helps for now.
Like most mobile payment processors, PayPal Here lets merchants accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. In addition to accepting cards, merchants can record and track cash payments through the app, making accounting easier.
If you use a point of sale system in your business, you need a receipt printer – and it should definitely be a good one so that you don’t have to replace it in a few months. Receipt printers are essential in most any business today because they solve the problem of needing to conveniently print a receipt right then and there.
Works great, I have an iPhone 7 plus so I had to use my little extra jack for earphones (which is so annoying btw, but that’s on Apple, not Square lol) but everything worked fine. I swiped my own card to test it out when setting up Square, it read my card just fine, transaction went smoothly.

So the printer is not bad but the communication to get it hooked up is terrible. Then once I had added and downloaded the program to allow them to help, they couldn’t get it to work either – thank goodness my company’s tech support was able to dial in and route it. Works fine thus far

Hey @Helen and anyone else reading this forum with the same problem! I wanted to mention that calling support provided the solution! Apparentely just updating the Point of Sale app was not enough, and I had to simply delete and reinstall it instead. Essentially just “turn it off and turn it on again” for the app era 🙂

Square Kitchen Printer – This is an impact printer. So it makes a noise when it prints. Why would you want this? You might want it if you are in an area such as a kitchen where thermal paper receipts don’t print as well because of moisture in the area. You would not want this noise around customers. But if you have a moist area such as a busy kitchen this printer may be what you can use. Here is the user manual for the Star Micronics SP742ML.
Ring up customers faster by customizing the order and types of tender that appear in your checkout flow. Don’t accept cash? Toggle that off. Accept more cash than cards? Reorder them. Go to Settings > Payment Types to start customizing.

Need a cash drawer to connect to your mobile application?  APG’s NetPRO is an ideal solution! That’s fantastic! We love to hear that you want to get more out of Square. Our software does allow you to ring in orders that can be printed for the kitchen, as well as print receipts for customers. Unfortunately, we don’t support the Star Micronics TSP64411BI printer at this time, so you would need to purchase a supported printer in order to get this all to work.

Receipt printer worked wonderfully with my Square checkout terminal and drawer that I also ordered off Amazon. I love that it’s thermal so you don’t have to purchase ink. It was easy to load the paper and easy to unload. All the items you need for the printer are here on Amazon so I could have it delivered directly to my workplace.
Hi again @TopJimmy! Our engineers confirmed that some sellers have successfully used the Epson TM-T88V with Square after following these configuration steps for the printer. If you still have that printer these steps should help you to get it up and running with Square.
Introducing Star’s new Ethernet receipt printer solution, the latest model from Star’s renowned TSP100 Series used by retailers & restaurateurs across the globe from major retailers & fast food restaurants to your local corner shop & café.
The printer is fine but bluetooth connectivity has been an incredible challenge. We have probably wasted 20 hours wrestling with it in the few weeks we have had it. The Starprint utility can say it is not connected when it is … and vice versa. The Bluetooth says it is not connected yet we can print a receipt from the register. The delay communicating via bluetooth means we have to leave a key in teh till drawer rather than wait for it to eventually open even though we have adjusted the utility and timing. So, while the printer is fine, don’t go bluetooth because you can’t use a cable even if you want to as there’s no socket …. just bluetooth ! So, buy a cable printer version and be happier !
Finally, two other issues fall loosely under the heading of quality: ruggedness and lifetime. Don’t expect much in the way of ruggedness for fine art papers for exhibition, but you do need it for stacks of 4-by-6s that you might hand out for people to look through. Photos from most printers today are reasonably waterproof and scratch resistant, but some fare better than others.
Ok, so I guess the “ii” is the newer model and so it makes sense (I guess) that it would be backward compatible with the “i” which you listed, BUT you also list the Star Micronics TSP143iiiLAN which when clicked shows the Star Micronics TSP143iiLAN, so now we should assume that OLDER generation models should also work when you list the newer generation one?

Your POS supports USB, and in the @Kpay’s original message there is even mention of a few USB interface printers. However your “Supported Hardware for iPads” document only breaks down printers between “Ethernet” and “Bluetooth” interfaces and only contains a single mention of “USB” for the “Vasario Cash Drawer”.

Some retailers (not this one) lead you to believe that the USB version of this printer is compatible with the Square credit card processing hardware. All though it’s a great little printer only the Ethernet and Bluetooth versions are currently supported by Square.
The TSP143III is the faster, easier, and better POS printing solution. Already a leading player in the mPOS market, Star Micronics’ TSP143III is offered with WLAN, LAN, Bluetooth, or USB interface connection for an easy-to-use and ready-to-go installation. The TSP143III now offers a web configuration page for the WLAN and LAN TSP143III printers, a simpler wat for all devices to connect to the WLAN printer for set-up with AP mode, an easy Bluetooth pairing connection, and a “plug and play” USB connection. For the USB version, there will be a new USB serial number feature so the PC will detect the TSP143IIIU on its Windows platform using any USB port. The new thermal receipt printer is an upgrade of the TSP100, printing at almost twice the speed with a special de-curl function, and it fully compatible with its previous version, requiring no additional integration or development.

Bought this strictly to print receipts with the Amazon Local Register iPad App and card reader, as it is the only receipt printer supported at this time by that platform. (Bought it used via an Amazon re-seller; works perfectly. It was easy to set up on the network using the downloadable Windows software. Once set up, my iPad and the Amazon Local Register app found the printer and linked to it easily. I haven’t tried using any of the other options (like printing our logo or printing coupons), but for what I bought it for it works perfectly. It prints extremely fast and clearly. The cutter works well, too. It is nice that it can be mounted to a vertical surface if desired.
Portable Instant Mobile Photo Printer is the ideal smartphone printer if you want to get yourself some pocket-sized 2” x 3.5” borderless pictures. It comes with a rechargeable battery with which you can take out about 25 prints per charge. As such, it’s ideal to be carried around on your travels or to parties. The PickIt Mobile App is also available for free download and you can use it to make easy edits to pictures, make collages, etc, and get the print outs.

I have an Epson TM-T88V and I have read every thread I can find and it still says not supported.  I watched the YouTube video linked in this thread and did exactly what it said and still the same not supported message.  Then I was looking at the options on the print out from the video and Option 11 is USB class, it was not working so what did I have to lose, I changed that option from the default (Vendor Class) to Printer Class and now my printer works.  I am not saying this will solve your problems, but it might.
The TM-P20 is under half the size2 of our other two-inch model and around two-thirds lighter3. It benefits from fast print speeds (up to 100mm/sec) and a battery life of up to eight hours, making it ideal for busy retail staff dealing with purchases on the shop floor, restaurant staff serving at tables and for producing tickets on-board busses and trains. The device also comes with a belt clip for hands-free transport.
For this particular setup, you’ll need to create a printer station. Printer stations let you designate specific tasks for your printers, like printing receipts, tickets, or stubs. With your printer plugged in, go to Settings, Printers, and Create Printer Station. Enter a printer station name. Now select what you’d like your printer to print. Make sure you select at least one option. Then tap the printer selection menu and select your printer. Test your printer by tapping Test Print. Then, tap Save. Your printer station settings are now saved and can be applied to any connected printer.

Inspired by your post I have looked at PayPal Here for the business I work at. We do have a proper card machine and take it out of the office several times a year for exhibitions. This means that the office can’t use it for payments.
And while PayPal’s card reader is a bit bulky compared to the competition, its extended length makes it easier to get a good swipe of a credit card every time. Not having enough surface area for a swipe is another complaint that merchants level against Square’s little white cube.
