Bottom Line: The Kodak Photo Printer Mini is a tiny printer that can be slipped in a pocket for easy wallet-size prints from mobile devices. Just beware that those prints are going to cost you much more than you would pay at the drug store.
Your POS supports USB, and in the @Kpay’s original message there is even mention of a few USB interface printers. However your “Supported Hardware for iPads” document only breaks down printers between “Ethernet” and “Bluetooth” interfaces and only contains a single mention of “USB” for the “Vasario Cash Drawer”.
If you use Square Payments, you’ll need a Square receipt printer. Sure. Your customer can get a receipt on their phone. But a printed receipt makes you look more professional. Also your customers will feel better about their purchase. If you’re a food truck or restaurant, you’ll want a receipt printer for the customer and also a way to print a ticket for the kitchen. To begin, we have been using Square for almost 4 years. Over that time we have integrated square more and more into our business. We are happy to report that this has been a great decision. The app is always being updated and keeps getting the features that we ask for. All you have to do is email or call and tell their customer service department what features you really want to see in the future. Then sure enough in a month or two the very thing you asked for is added in or has some beginning resemblance of what you had asked for. Do not be deterred by the negative reviews. Most of them are people who have decided that the review section for the app is the best wY to ask a question to the support staff. Or they may be engaged in some kind of shady business that is prohibited by square.
I suggest that Square makes available some advice or a list of cheaper Bluetooth printers that customers could consider.  Also, please make the printing of receipts from the Square customer web site easier.
First weekend using the cash register and star tsp 1000 III printer with our Square stand and iPad and so far the experience has been great. The cash register is big and roomy and not loud when it opens. Great purchase would definitely recommend buying the epsilont versus buying the one that square has to offer that is $200 more.

So in the scheme of “would we buy these printers?” it comes down to would we buy these instead of other Epson printers? I would probably recommend the T20II the most out of all the printers, I think for the price and features and warranty, the T20II is your best bet. If you are worried about space though, take a look at the M series, especially the M10, it’s very very small compared to older receipt printers. The styling on both of these are better than the T20II. If you’re looking for just pure performance, pure reliability, pure speed, the T88V is still your best bet. So that’s kind of the Epson overview of all their printers. Good printers, probably at this time not their best printers, but they are space saving options, and there are some unique pairing capabilities, so if you’re on a tablet or something like that and you don’t have a USB port, then take a look and see if a proper interface is available for you. To purchase these printers, or for more information, please visit us at POSGuys.com. Thanks!

If you are setting up a larger POS application and want a multifunction printer, you need to get their cat5 version, same company…looks and acts exactly the same except is on the network, not USB…then just buy the cash drawer by itself. I have not tried the wireless printers, but the USB is not as versital and basically the same price.
@MaseyLeigh – The entire stand system can draw up to 24W from a power supply, so you’d want to make sure that your portable charger could accommodate that. As for if the Square Stand needs power to operate, it will require some power to maintain the connection with the Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader when you have it plugged in through the dock. It will also keep the reader charged. It might be hard to test this out outside of the actual event, but if you do get in a pickle, you could always pair your reader to a smartphone to stay in business that day.
And while PayPal’s card reader is a bit bulky compared to the competition, its extended length makes it easier to get a good swipe of a credit card every time. Not having enough surface area for a swipe is another complaint that merchants level against Square’s little white cube.
1 – Futuresource consulting, 2010 2 – Under half the size is calculated as follows: TM-P20 : 413cm3 / P60II: 1065 cm3, so it is 39% of the volume of the P60II 3 – Around a third of the weight is calculated as follows: TM-P20: 228g / P60II: 630g, so it is 36% of the weight of the P60II
Highest marks on the TSP100III because of the multi-platform adoption and performance. This printer works with Windows, does Star and Epson emulations (set in driver), but the ethernet version is the most commonly used printer with iOS point of sale applications (Star, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch). Along with it’s 10+ ips print speed it is a great overall printer that will fit most point of sale printing needs.

Hi @384f8d64c77e5048c202661b78d018ae:disqus , I think that’s just a worker thread waiting to be interrupted by the user (when he click the send button). It analyzes the structure of the data to be printed by bytes and check for delimeter, etc… Anyone out there got better explanation? 🙂

Save valuable counter space with the industry’s smallest POS receipt printer in its class. Featuring ePOS print technology, the TM‑m10 easily prints 2″ receipts from iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices or desktop PCs. Approx. Dimensions 4″ x 4″ x 4″
Loving it so far. I didn’t know I could even print text documents and images (in low-medium quality monochrome, mind you) right from my computer’s regular programs without special receipt software, after installing the driver of course. All you have to do is figure out the page size and margins and such, available in the manual and online. Some programs like Excel are a little tricky. This makes it easy to print bits of information clearly without wasting a lot of paper. It’s not fussy like a lot of regular printers. I just unplug it from one place and plug it into the other, wait a few seconds to hear the paper adjusting sound and the computer to recognize it, and print.
AirPrint support is pre-installed on iOS devices, so you can use this familiar interface to connect to and begin printing from the new printer. The TSP654II features a fast, 300 mm per second print speed, high-quality 203 dpi print, compact footprint and aesthetic design. Faster print speeds at the Apple point of sale will help shave a few seconds off each transaction, which means less waiting and more efficient customer service.
I’ve reviewed other wireless printers over the years like the Polaroid ZIP which use dye-incorporating paper (ZINK) and I find the KODAK Photo Printer Mini’s image quality to be superior in sharpness and color. That’s because the KODAK printer uses dye sublimation thermal transfer with 256 gradations and 16.7 million colors. It also puts a laminated protection layer over the print that is fingerprint and water resistant.

Why, for God’s sakes, can we not have a receipt that takes up a single page instead of three pages???  I’ve been a customer of square-enabled businesses for at least 4 years, and Square hasn’t come up with a solution for this?  I saw where someone asked this question in April but didn’t get any responses.  Please, please, please?  Is there some setting that everyone else in America is using, but I’m not?  Please help me.

In the meantime, I will your support people to see if we can resolve the issue with the TM-m10 but I’m honestly not holding out much hope for it considering the current shape of your support documents on this.
I bought this to use with Loyverse App and it works fine. Its better than other printers that sell for $300 or more. Does the simple job of printing the receipts. It might work with other softwares also but I have not tried it yet. There is a standalone app also that you can write text in it and then print off it. So you can use that app also to prewrite your name and address and other information and just put in the amount manually and print the receipt. I think you can check the video on youtube for that or on the paper that comes with this box.

But its solid customer service doesn’t seem to make up for what some merchants view as PayPal’s overly suspicious approach to fraud detection. PayPal receives a lot of negative feedback from merchants who have had their funds withheld or their accounts frozen or terminated because of suspected fraud or suspicious processing activity.
Unlike traditional card processing companies, which deposit the funds from credit card and other payments directly into a merchant’s bank account, PayPal deposits merchant funds directly into a merchant’s PayPal account. As Heaven Stubblefield points out in her PayPal Here review for CompareCards.com, if you don’t use PayPal regularly, you might not appreciate the extra step of transferring funds to your bank account on a regular basis.
