Check your network – Make sure the iPad and printer are on the same network. Turn the printer off and back on again. Make sure it is connected to the network. Close all apps on the iPad. Relaunch square and see if it works. May want to restart your iPad too. If that doesn’t work. open up notes and see if you can print a note to the printer. If you don’t see the printer there is a network or printer issue. Reset your network and see if that fixes it.
@CarrieZ @TopJimmy I have the same printer and the same problem. My dashboard is still saying that the device is not supported. There is no new available update in the app store as far as I can tell. C’mon people! We have been operating without a proper cash drawer for 2 weeks now 🙁
The smallest triangle (in the front of the reader) is hinged and can be swung down over the front edge of your device, helping to keep the reader in place when you swipe a customer’s card. PayPal gets extra design points for this little detail, as card readers that swing around in the headphone jack tend to be a big turnoff for merchants.
I’ve escalated a request to our documentation team that includes your idea for a table listing out the printer options and whether they’re USB/Ethernet/Bluetooth/etc. New versions of printers do come out now and then, so it’s possible we have an incorrect link in our Support Center. The team will look into it though and make sure to get it updated. Appreciate your feedback and hopefully, your call to our Support Team will help you get everything sorted out.
Tons of customization settings for specific needs that come with its own program, this has been a huge difference compared to our last which required you to dig around to even have a hope to adjust things
Keeps track of my inventory, sends me messages even when I am not in store if someone made a sale and for how much… so simple, once you get it all figured out, first timer here and it only took a couple of hours to figure out…
The printer supports ESC/POS mode, and is able to do 1D or 2D barcode printing, which can be widely used in various occasions like on taxi, restaurant, store for receipt, bill, and any other types of information printing.
Fujifilm INSTAX SHARE SP-2 is a great iPhone photo printer which can make use of the free SHARE app to send images to the device from the smartphone, for immediate printing. The print quality is usually quite strong, at 320 dpi, and a resolution of 800×600. The colors are also fairly bold and varied. One of the greatest advantages of this printer is that it has an incredibly low print period of a mere 10 seconds. It also comes with a rechargeable battery so you don’t need to be plugged in all the time.

@thestationslo Glad to hear you were able to get your printer up and running, thank you for the update! It sounds like you might be interested in using sign and tip on printed receipts. This feature is used for restaurants to authorize a customers payment card, and add a tip later (within 36 hours).
The device is also quite easy to set up and use. It comes with a free downloadable Polaroid ZIP App which you can find in the app store. It’s also battery powered so you don’t always need to have it connected.
Really solid receipt printer. Less expensive than 90% of the machines in its class, but it holds its own without an issue. Installation was slightly more involved than other reviewers had let on (it helps to know which port you’re connecting this through), but overall it was still pretty simple to get working. Just make sure that you don’t have an old version of the Epson receipt print driver on your computer, as this can cause the installation to fail.

I like this printer very much, but only give it 4 stars because I had to search around for information on operating the printer and finding paper. That is a very small negative and likely due in part to my lack of industry knowledge. But, I do think a manual in the package would be nice or at least a link to the information on the web. A case for the printer would also be nice, but I just grabbed something I had laying around.
Everything you need to get started taking in orders and money (except the iPad, Square Stand and the cash for the till!). This Square Stand accessories kit includes Square credit card reader (use it for making a smart phone mobile terminal), receipt printer with USB interface, 2 rolls of receipt paper, 16″ Square Stand cash drawer with till, and all cables for connecting the printer and Square Stand cash drawer.

Guys, here’s the amazon link where you can buy the mobile printer http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AG2C0G8/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01AG2C0G8&linkCode=as2&tag=codeofaninja-20&linkId=Z2FOSJPNSUWTGB6T
If you are using DHCP (If a fixed IP address is not set), then connect a LAN cable to simply complete the connection. By specifying the IP address output by self-printing, print settings can be configured.
The device works great. Our only issue is in the description. The description states that it is for iOS/Windows/Android. However when the unit arrived it states iOS only. We probably would not have ordered it knowing that.
I have two businesses and both of them use these T20s, they are super fast printers. No more dealing with off-brand junk. This printer is the real deal and the auto cut works every time. I would purchase again for sure.
If you want an extremely portable model that fits in your pocket and connects to iOS, Android, and Windows devices this is the way to go. For connecting with mobile devices you’ll need an app if you want to print receipts, and for Windows computers you’ll need to download a driver and connect it via USB.
HP OfficeJet 4650 Wireless All-in-One Photo Printer, as the name suggests, is very multifunctional and hence cost-effective. It can also copy, scan, take pictures from the computer or from the smart phones, using AirPrint, WiFi, Bluetooth, App, or any other method as well. The ePrint feature allows you to print from anywhere at all. Double sided prints can also be taken so as to conserve time and paper.
Had 3 of these in my place to on cash draws one in the kitchen they work well as long as there is no internet/WiFi drop off. Using it with couple IPad Airs and Square register app for several years. When I loose internet or sometimes they seem to disconnect from the register even when I don’t have internet problems and they usually have to powered off and on. Also in the mean time my cash draw wont open and I have to find the key. Being so annoyed I with connection issues I have since replaced them with the USB versions (except the kitchen one) and all my problems stopped.
I am new to Square. I would like to print receipts from my iPad, but the printers on the Square web site cost over $300. I found that I could print a receipt from the web-based customer portal if I am using my PC or Mac. However, the receipt prints on two pages since there is a small icon at the bottom that carries over to the second page. I will have to carefully set the printer to print just one page every time I print a receipt for our event.
Epson wireless printers are compatible with the Lecere FIRMS, WaiterOne, Breadcrumb, Cashy, Square and other Ethernet or wireless POS software, with driver support for Windows, Mac (TM-88V only), and iOS platforms. For information about Square Register, see here.

I don’t normally wear a watch, but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating the look and features of the current crop of smartwatches that are on the market like the TicWatch Pro which has two different displays that give it extra battery life beyond a typical smartwatch. If you plan to get a printer with your system, then stick with lower cost serial (not usb) based cash drawer and tie it into the printer instead, which also frees up one of the precious and limited usb ports on a square stand. This is important when you need a chip/nfc reader, printer, drawer, and scanner.
