Like I said the only issue im having which is not the printers fault is me utilizing the ESC/POS commands but I was having that issue with my other printer simply because I don’t program in C# and VB.Net(ALTHOUGH IT HAS SOME SAMPLES FOR VB6 FOR THOSE WHO STILL USE VB6!!)
I suspect a network card issue and will investigate firmware upgrades. However, as a multi-year multi-product Epson user, many less expensive than this receipt printer — this level of flawed software development is inexplicable. I do understand that this is oft-intended as a POS device.

A plug-in Bluetooth receipt printer is great for when you have a more traditional point of sale setup but don’t have an available USB port.  In these cases you can pair the printer with your tablet or PC and keep it plugged into the wall.  It’ll function like a standard receipt printer, communicating via Bluetooth.

The STAR MICRONICS SM-T300I is also a light weight receipt printer. But it’s very durable and rugged. It’s also Apple MFi certified for iOS phone and iPads. It also works with Android and Windows. It’s been tested to take a little bit of beating and is used by people who are outside a lot. Having said that the price is higher than other printers. If you need something rugged, this device may be the one for you. But if you don’t. You will want to look at something else as this device can get expensive. The SM-T300i is easy to use. There is a well written and very detailed user manual. The user manual gives details on how to configure the receipt printer and how to load paper. Here is a link to the Star Micronics SM-T300i User Manual.
As VanKalkerFarms answer states, Point of Sale is not compatible with standard desktop printers at this time. A possible solution might be to view your receipts on your online Dashboard after the transaction is complete and you can print them from there on a desktop printer.
This is an easy and entry level printer. Getting going is fast. The price is reasonable at generally less than $200. We rate this high for a receipt printer if you want something easy to use that does the job a thermal printer should do.
You can reset the UB-E03, UB-E04 Ethernet Interface card to factory defaults by holding down the push button on the card (see arrow above) while turning on the printer power and continuing to hold it down for 5 seconds. This causes all internal settings to return to their factory defaults. For the older UB-E02 cards, hold the push button down after the printer is on for 30 seconds.
Run the printer self test (hold down the feed button while turning on the printer). The printer will print a list of initial settings including interface type and buffer capacity. Verify that the interface is “serial” for this type of Ethernet adapter and that the baud rate is the same as is set on the card. If necessary, change the baud rate on the printer (using the DIP switches) or the baud rate on the module (using jumpers), so they agree.
POS printers and accessories also give you the ability to provide a proof of purchase for each transaction. A printed receipt can greatly assist with returns or exchanges at a later date. To keep your printers printing, use high-quality POS paper.
An Ethernet connection uses the existing network to connect the  computer to the POS printer.  The printer plugs into the LAN and, once configured, the computer can use the printer like it was attached directly.

Ethernet invoice printers can be used to publish client invoices, order tickets, and also order ticket stubs. Ethernet-interface printers are best for stationary use, and also aren’t designed to be mobile.
Highest marks on the TSP100III because of the multi-platform adoption and performance. This printer works with Windows, does Star and Epson emulations (set in driver), but the ethernet version is the most commonly used printer with iOS point of sale applications (Star, Shopkeep, Aldelo Touch). Along with it’s 10+ ips print speed it is a great overall printer that will fit most point of sale printing needs.

Printouts created using POS printers may include the business name, contact number, and address. The printer is compact, prints clearly, and has absolutely no issue when printing a receipt for my Square sales. The fact that it is blue tooth meant I could put it anywhere in my home office that was convenient and not tied down by the length of a USB cord otherwise. I have it linked up to an old iPhone 4s phone and run credit cards using Square and print receipts easily. I’m so pleased that I paid some more money and got the blue tooth version.
Fully mobile receipt printers are very useful for on the go receipt printing applications such as deliveries, conventions, or craft fairs.  These mobile printers generally use receipt paper that is 2 inches wide with a smaller core.   Check the printer accessories for compatible thermal receipt paper.
Cash drawers are one of the core components to every Point of Sale System. They may be the simplest part of your POS but making sure you have the right cash drawer is key. Cash drawers can be printer or terminal driven. Let us make sure you get the right cabling to connect to your receipt printer. Manual, USB, and Serial cash drawer models are also available to ensure compatibility with any POS system. We offer cash drawers that are designed for the most rugged environments, as well as cash drawers that are compatible with an Apple iPad. We also carry lighted cash drawers perfect for you bar or night club.
Tip: You can directly connect a printer with an Ethernet interface to a computer using a crossover cable (not the same as a patch cable). This special cable allows you to bypass using a router or switch to connect a computer to a printer for testing. To use this setup set the IP address of the computer and the printer statically, both in the same sub domain, with different addresses.
