You will receive the Canon PIXMA MX492 series Wireless Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax All-In-One. The PIXMA MX492 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One. Built-in Wi-Fi technology allows you to easily print, scan and fax from virtually anywhere around your house.
Really solid receipt printer. Less expensive than 90% of the machines in its class, but it holds its own without an issue. Installation was slightly more involved than other reviewers had let on (it helps to know which port you’re connecting this through), but overall it was still pretty simple to get working. Just make sure that you don’t have an old version of the Epson receipt print driver on your computer, as this can cause the installation to fail.

Using a smart card for mass transit presents a risk for privacy, because such a system enables the mass transit operator (and the authorities) to track the movement of individuals. In Finland, the Data Protection Ombudsman prohibited the transport operator YTV from collecting such information, in spite of YTV’s argument that the owner of the card has the right to get a list of journeys paid with the card. Prior to this, such information was used in the investigation of the Myyrmanni bombing.
I have been using this printer for a few months and my computer had a few updates and then the printer stop working so I contacted the company’s customer service support through the website (EOM-POS) and Mark help me through the whole process, we were online, connected trying to fix it for about 2 hours, he never gave up and FIXED IT! he tried everything, I even re-started the computer and was able to connect with him until he fixed the issue. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWESOME.

The standard for contactless smart card communications is ISO/IEC 14443. It defines two types of contactless cards (“A” and “B”) and allows for communications at distances up to 10 cm (3.9 in). There had been proposals for ISO/IEC 14443 types C, D, E, F and G that have been rejected by the International Organization for Standardization. An alternative standard for contactless smart cards is ISO/IEC 15693, which allows communications at distances up to 50 cm (1.6 ft).

Mac Address Filtering: It is assumed these measures will increase security, but this isn’t true. Enabling Mac address filtering and disabling broadcasting of the network name will make the setup and use of the wireless network more difficult.
Set up is pretty much straightforward. You download the app (Squre Register-POS), you’ll need your Business Account // Personal Account along with routing number. Zip Code, name, address, social security and what not. Pretty much what a bank would ask you. Once your account is linked, it will ask you if you want them to send you their product or if you already got it. I thought the product was going to be sent for free, but it was charging me another $50, so i wanted to cancel and it didn’t give me that option. I still have to check with customer service about that. In the meanwhile i just put “charge me later” or something along the lines.

Purchased this printer because it was cheaper than others by over $50. Mike helped set it up with the software when the software company would not help me. It works great – similar to Epson and Bixolon but a much better price. Tech support is great – quick response by email, phone and chat.
Epson wants you to get the most out of your hardware and built the TM-T88V to last. The autocutter is rated to 2 million cuts, and the mean time between failure is a staggeringly high 360,000 hours (about 41 years of use). Improved cover design adds protection against foreign objects, further extending the receipt printer’s longevity. With an industry leading 4 year warranty, the TM-T88V Epson receipt printer is the last printer you’ll need for quite some time.

I recently ran into a situation where I had multiple vendors — all using individual Square accounts — that needed to be able to print receipts from a centralized receipt printer. I discovered that it’s possible if you have right printer. Let me show you how this is done, so you can avoid the confusion and headache of having to solve this issue on your own.
With AirPrint you can print from Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork and PDFs in iBook, and there are a number of third party iOS apps that support printing, too. If you choose to print a photo, AirPrint will even automatically select your printer’s photo tray, if it has one.

Wi-Fi printers are accessible over a Wi-Fi network. Wi-Fi normally uses a similar radio band to Bluetooth, but with more power. Devices that connect over a Wi-Fi network must be within about 100 meters of a central wireless access point, though with repeaters the range can be greatly extended. Using Wi-Fi to connect to your printer is more appropriate if you have a larger office space with more employees. However, a Wi-Fi network is a bit more complex; a central wireless router must be set up and secured and the wireless printer must be added to the network.
Printouts created using POS printers may include the business name, contact number, and address. This makes it easy for shoppers to remember where they bought items and return there for similar goods, providing an excellent marketing opportunity. Many POS printers also offer reverse-side printing, letting you add coupons or valuable tips and store policies to the back of each receipt.
No need for the whole family to fight over the same computer anymore. Every computer on your wireless network can connect to the same printer (instead of having to be physically connected to the printer).
Once the buyer swipes his or her card, Square prepares a receipt, which can include itemized charges, location, or your company’s logo. The customer signs the receipt using a finger on the touch screen (which works great on tablets, and is good enough on smaller phone screens), adds a tip if desired, and chooses to either have the receipt emailed or sent as a text message. Every receipt also has a unique URL.

This is an impact printer. So it makes a noise when it prints. Why would you want this? You might want it if you are in an area such as a kitchen where thermal paper receipts don’t print as well because of moisture in the area. You would not want this noise around customers. But if you have a moist area such as a busy kitchen this printer may be what you can use. Here is the user manual for the Star Micronics SP742ML.
